<<Institute of N-Dimensionality>>
Year: 2013
Location: Boston, MA
Critic: Mark Goulthorpe
The prompt of an institute of N-Dimensionality was
met as a place of stasis, observation and accumulation
within the exhilaration of its surrounding arteries.
It has been conceived as an environmental stock
market. This is to mean a physical, public repository
for witnessing environmental sensor data. The space
functions as an extension of the surrounding park,
housing an accumulation of data visualizations for
the increasing array of sensors we deploy in the
environment. It will convey many temporalities in a
single glance. Inspired and projected by the allure
of artificial light and its pollution of the site, the
sensor data is a physical means of transmitting the
manipulations that humans have on the earth.
